Margaret Abraham is an action researcher in the field of Sociology. She is the current President of the International Sociological Association (ISA).

Margaret Abraham was the Vice-President of the International Sociological Association and a Member of the ISA Executive Committee from 2010 to 2014. In 2012, she organized the ISA Forum of Sociology, around the theme of “Social Justice & Democratization.”

Margaret has also co-developed the Social Justice & Democratization Project and Online Space, which aims to build a global community who can access and share resources through an open participatory approach to research, policy, pedagogy, practices and images on social justice and democratization.
